Posted on December 30, 2009 | No CommentsIt's taken from Boxing Day to nearly New Years Eve but the rain in Brisbane finally eased long enough for American Jesse Hockett to win the thirty-lap International Sprintcar Series Feature event at Titan Garages Brisbane International Speedway on Thursday night December 30, although the night's racing was soured by a freak injury to leading Qld Sprintcar driver Darren Jensen during a Heat race earlier in the evening. -

Wet Weather Provides Tourism Boost For Qld

Johnson Mounts Speedweek Advance
Posted on December 29, 2009 | No CommentsThe Cajun Sensation Jason Johnson claimed back-to-back East Coast Pipeline Speedweek rounds at the Borderline Speedway, Mount Gambier. The American started from pole position after claiming the Vortex Top 8 Shootout and led Robbie Farr at the start of the 35-lap, $10,000 to win A-main. Farr was desperate to stay in contention for not only Speedweek but also the overall Performance Wholesale World Series Sprintcars Championship but struck trouble mid way the feature race.
