Countdown to the World Finals: 9 Days

From Tony Veneziano

Concord, NC —The third annual World of Outlaws World Finals featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series is quickly approaching at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, November 5-7. In the 11 days leading up to the three-day action packed season ender, World of Outlaws drivers will share their thoughts on what is quickly becoming one of the “Must See” marquee events of the year.

The next driver up is Kraig Kinser, who finished second in the finale of the World Finals last season, behind his Tony Stewart Racing teammate Donny Schatz. Kinser made his debut at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway in 2002 and has competed in each of the two previous editions of the World Finals. He ran as a teammate to his father Steve during the inaugural World Finals in 2007 and last year made his first appearance at the season ending event in the No. 20 machine for Tony Stewart Racing. The third generation driver has a couple of career Top-10 finishes at the high-banked four-tenths-mile.

Kraig Kinser, Driver of the No. 20 Bass Pro Shops Maxim:

“It’s definitely turning into one of the newer big events. It’s a three-day show with the late models as well, so there are a lot of good dirt race teams there. It’s a fun weekend as well and we get to watch a lot of different racing that we normally don’t get to see with the late models. It’s good to be able to watch them and I enjoy watching all the races on dirt. It is getting to be a pretty big end of the year race for us. It’s the last event of the year, so you know that you’ll have a long break after it. For me personally, I wish we never really went into the off-season. I love racing and being at the race track so much that I wish we kept racing all year round, but that will never happen. You know the off-season is coming and you have a long break until you get in the car again, so it definitely helps to run well in the final event of the season.”

The finale of the World Finals will air live on SPEED on Saturday, November 7 beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern, with Bobby Gerould on the call and Brad Doty offering expert analysis along with Shane Andrews and Erin Crocker reporting from the pit area.
