Atlanta, GA – Feb. 1, 2009 — The United Speed Contest Sanction (USCS) announced today it has entered into a multi-year agreement with The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company to be the Official Tire supplier to the United Sprint Car Series “Outlaw Thunder” Tour presented by Goodyear.

The United Sprint Car series joins the World of Outlaws, All Star Circuit of Champions and a number of top race tracks and series throughout the country including Knoxville Raceway (home of the 2010 Goodyear Knoxville Nationals) that are partnering with Goodyear starting in 2010.

“Goodyear recognizes Sprint Car racing as one of the elite forms of motorsports,” said Justin Fantozzi, Goodyear’s Marketing Manager of Global Race Tires. “We have a strong history in sprint car racing at all levels. As an example, our tires have carried drivers to 19 of 30 championships in World of Outlaws sprint car series. “We look forward to working with the United Sprint Car Series and accomplishing similar results with the USCS as well.

Goodyear sprint car race tires will be available prior to and during the 14th Anniversary USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour 2010 season beginning with the Bootheel 200 at Malden Speedway on March 20th, 2010. Goodyear will supply USCS competitors with multiple tire compounds. The tires will have stiffer construction than previously supplied in order to achieve the desired results of reduced traction, increased drive-ability and even greater racing for USCS Sprint Car fans.

United Sprint Car series competitors will be able to enjoy a significant burn-off period to be able to use their old tire inventory at USCS dirt track events through the end of June, 2010. After July 1, 2010 teams will be required to race with Goodyear race tires on the left rear and right rear wheel positions at USCS “Outlaw Thunder” Tour dirt track events.

Goodyear is making a significant investment in the United Sprint Car Series and in the sport of Sprint Car racing in general “, said United Speed Contest Sanction Founder and President. Pete Walton. “Goodyear is committed to providing our race teams with world class tires that will produce the best racing possible, while also adding major promotional support through a number of different marketing programs.”
