SYRACUSE, NY – On March 13 and 14 in the Center of Progress Building at the New York State Fairgrounds comes the 24th Annual Motorsports Expo presented by Gater News. Since the inaugural event, the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints (ESS) has been proud to be a part of each and every one of them. Once again the 2010 racing season will officially kick off at the Expo.

A total of five ESS stars will have their new machines on display for the fans to see during the two-day affair. Heading the list will be defending Lucas Oil ESS champion Justin Barger. He will be joined by Jeff Cook, who took third in points in ’09, ninth place point-man Brian McDonald, 13th in points Anthony Cain and young hot shoe Jami Russell will make up the pit log at the ESS booth.

The Montrose, NY star is coming off his first ever ESS title with the sharp, black JBR Racing, JE Pistons, Maxim #32 on display for all to view during the show. Barger himself will be on hand during the weekend to meet and greet the fans at the show which will be his first tour of duty as ESS defending champion.

Jeff Cook is coming off his most successful ESS season of his still young career. He will have a brand new Maxim backed by Rt. 37 Building Supply and North Country Welding on display for what will be hoped to be a title run in 2010. Cook has been an ESS/Expo show faithful throughout the years.

For the second time ever, the man known as “Slim”, Brian McDonald will have his #151KB on display of the show. The popular Canadian chauffeur will be showcasing his black, WestFront Construction, XXX Chassis sprint car. Always popular with the fans, the driver from north of the border will be happy to meet everyone that stops by.

The driver of the Lacaillade Masonry, #15C, J&J sprinter tackled the tour for the first time last season finishing 13th in the final points. The goal is for his first ever A-main victory and top ten in points with the team kicking off the season in Syracuse.

One of the young, up and coming stars is Schenectady, NY’s Jami Russell. Coming off back surgery, the driver of the North Star Chevy, #27, F5 will be taking on his first full season with ESS in hopes of his first ever checkered flag. Russell Motorsports will also be helping ESS by displaying the same winged machine at the annual Fonda Speedway Mall Show the very next weekend.

A special autograph session will be held on Saturday at 2PM where all these drivers along with several others will be ready to sign for the fans. Each year the autograph session has proved to be a very popular attraction at the Expo.
