STEWART HOLDS FIRM ON ELDORA PRICING

By Larry Boos

ROSSBURG, OH (March 19) – Since purchasing the facility in the fall of 2004, two-time NASCAR Cup champion Tony Stewart has remained steadfast on his Eldora Speedway general admission pricing. To date only one event has seen a change and that was a modest $2 increase for the Kings Royal, implemented in 2008. Stewart has not wavered on his target and has announced that despite ever-increasing costs, he will again hold firm on ticket pricing.

That announcement allows race fans to witness USAC Sprint racing for only $18 and World of Outlaw Sprint racing for only $25, which represents some of the lowest pricing in the industry. In addition, the popular one-price, two-day ticket for the Dirt Late Model Dream and World 100 events continue to be affordable.

Eldora Speedway will drop the green flag on their 2010 racing season over the Easter weekend (April 2 and 3), with the Midwestern debut of the non-winged USAC (United States Auto Club) Sprint Cars. Two complete nights of racing will be on the card, with the UMP (United Midwestern Promoters) Modifieds on Friday night and the Stock Cars on Saturday.

The remaining month of April finds the Sunoco sponsored American Late Model Series headlining the card on April 17 with a $12 general admission charge, while a $15 ticket will gain admission to the April 24 tripleheader featuring non-winged Sprints, UMP Modifieds and Stock Cars.

Opening the month of May will be the traditional Spring invasion of the World of Outlaws with a doubleheader weekend May 7 & 8.

Eldora’s complete 2010 campaign is detailed at www.eldoraspeedway.com. Tickets for their 2010 major events are currently available through the website, or by calling the speedway office at (937)338-3815 during normal business hours.
