By Steve Inch

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Selinsgrove Speedway will present the first four
division show of the early 2010 season featuring 358 sprint cars, late
models, pro stocks, and roadrunners at 6 p.m. this Saturday, April 10.
Track gates will open at 4 p.m.

Making their season debut this Saturday, the popular late models, sponsored
by Lyons Auto & Truck Service Center, will be led by three-time defending
track champion Jeff Rine of Danville. Rine, who owns five career late model
track titles at Selinsgrove and won nine races last year, will be seeking
his fourth consecutive title at the Snyder County half-mile oval in 2010.
Last year, the late model division produced nine different winners in 18
races.

After two events, Blane Heimbach of Selinsgrove, last week’s winner of the
rescheduled 2009 National Open, leads the A&A Auto Stores 358 sprint car
track point standings as well as the overall Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic
Central PA 358 sprint car point series standings entering this weekend’s
racing action. TJ Stutts, who won the season opener for 358 sprint cars on
March 27, is second to Heimbach in both point series.

The Salem RV Center pro stocks and Collier Paving & Construction/Byers
Built Engines roadrunners both spun off one main event this season. AJ
Stroup of Evendale and Brad Mitch of McClure won the pro stock and
roadrunner season openers, respectively.

Selinsgrove Raceway Park will host a complete program of go kart and micro
sprint car racing at 7 p.m. this Friday, April 9. Defending Selinsgrove
Ford micro sprint car track champion Todd Hoover of Mt. Pleasant Mills won
the season opener for micro sprints last Friday night.
