Rob Chaney (6th car out to time) set quick time over the field with a time
of 12.592 seconds, more that a second off Butch Schroeder’s record pace.
Getting out early was important as the track went away quickly. Scott
Euler (3rd car out) was second quick, followed by Jody Keegan (2nd), Duane
Zablocki (4th), Byron Reed (12th), Travis Philo (15th), Cap Henry (5th),
David Harrison (18th), Bryan Sebetto (17th) and Danny Smith (32nd). Three
cars didn’t get a time in including Todd Kane, who spun twice, Caleb
Helms, who went over the turn three banking and into the wall, and Brock
Mayes. Helms and Mayes were scratches for the night.

D. Jacobs was out to an early lead after a turn one spin by Sebetto who
got over the turn two berm and off the backstretch. Sebetto made the race
by taking to the high side and charging to the final transfer spot from
the back.

Hannagan took the lead early, but he would battle back and forth three
times with Mintz, who took the point for good on lap five of the 8-lapper.
Euler spun on the opening lap, but fell one spot short of duplicating
Sebetto’s lead.

Mi. Linder led early. L. Jacobs pursued him, and took the lead on lap
six. The only stoppage came on lap two, when Andrews spun and collected
Keegan and Heller. Andrews shot back through the pack to finish fourth.

Wilson led the distance, despite two stoppages for spins by Valenti on lap
three, and Conley on lap eight. Zablocki staged a late challenge for
second, but fell short.

Blaney looked good in the 6-lapper, that is run for nothing more than
points toward the season championship.

Euler led early as most drivers tried to grab something on the bottom of
the parched surface. M. Keegan took a different line in the 12-lapper and
shot to the high side, picking off car after car. A few laps in, he was
in a transfer spot, and at the halfway mark, he took the lead for good by
passing both Euler and Lee in turn four.

J. Keegan shot out to a good lead as most went to the cushion. Two laps
were in the books when Zablocki spun. J. Keegan led Reed, Henry, a
charging Blaney and Chaney back to green flag racing. Just two more laps
were in, when the red came out for a Zablocki tip-over. He restarted.
One more lap was counted, when J. Keegan went over the berm in turn three
and stopped. Reed inherited the lead in the 40-lapper and was never
seriously challenged. Blaney was second at that point and kept the
position over Shaffer, who was third by lap 13. The race suffered several
stoppages, including a pile-up on a lap 32 restart. Henry, who was
running 8th at the time ended up flipping, after contact with D. Jacobs.
Martin, L. Jacobs and Hannagan were also caught up in the mess, but all
continued. Reed’s popular win was worth $5,000.
