From jak industries.media

Titan Garages Brisbane International Speedway at Archerfield will host the 2010 East Coast Pipelines Qld Sprintcar Title this Friday and Saturday night April 30/May 1, with thirty-eight drivers nominating for the time-honoured event including defending Champion James McFadden and former Australian Champions Robbie Farr and Todd Wanless.

The two night program of events will kick off with a compulsory Driver’s Briefing at 4:45pm on Friday afternoon (50 points available to all drivers in attendance) followed by track pack and hot laps from 5:00pm and Time Trials at 5:45pm. The first two Rounds of Heat races on Friday night will be lined up based on a thirty car inversion from the Time Trials results with all drivers then re-seeded for the third Round of Heats.

Friday night’s program will include a twenty lap Preliminary Feature for the top sixteen drivers in points following the conclusion of the three Rounds of qualifying Heat races with drivers then re-seeded again prior to night two. The number of available cars for Saturday night’s program will determine the inversion for the fourth and final Round of Heat races.

Saturday’s program will commence with a compulsory Driver’s Briefing at 5:00pm (additional 50 points available to all drivers in attendance) followed by the fourth Round of Heat races, all of which are ten laps. The top six drivers in points after the final Round of Heats will compete in an A-Dash over six laps with the finishing order determining grid positions one through six for the Championship Final. The next six drivers in points will compete in the B-Dash with the finishing order of that race determining grid positions seven through twelve for the Championship Final.

All other drivers will attempt to qualify for the Final through a fifteen lap C-Main (top two transfer) and twenty lap B-Main. Drivers finishing one through six in the B-Main will transfer to the Final and line up in positions thirteen to eighteen. The Championship Final will be held over thirty-five laps with the winner receiving the 2010 East Coast Pipelines Qld Sprintcar Title trophy and $3,500.00 in prize money. Total prize money for this event is in excess of $31,000 and the Championship will be run with an American Racer MC1 tyre rule in place. Chief Steward for the event will be John Kelly.
