Camargo, IL (4-28-09) – This weekend will mark the beginning of a new season for the O’Reilly Midwest All Star Series and this weekend the series will be opening 2010 with a new track, a new tire, and a new partnership. This weekend’s opener at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin will be a co-sanctioned event with the IRA. With the Midwest All Stars taking on the IRA for the second time in series history, it promises to be a memorable Saturday night.
The last time the Midwest Series invaded Wisconsin was last year for theNorth/South Showdown with the IRA. Three-time series Champion Jerrod Hull was a standout as he placed second in the event. Saturday night should provide a new challenge as the field will be taking the green flag on the
“wings” of Goodyear Tires.
Along with three-time Midwest All Star Champion Jerrod Hull there will be a host of familiar faces to the Midwest Series this season. A.J. Bruns who was the runner-up in points last season plans to follow the series with his brother Corey Bruns. Also in the pits will be teammates Alex Shanks and Shane Wade. Another notable name that will be following the series this season is Kody Kinser. Running for Rookie-of-the-Year honors will be Adam Miller. How will the Midwest All Stars fare against the IRA regulars? Will Hull continue his dominance in the series or will another driver emerge victorious in the Badger State? Race Information
Qualifying is slated to begin at 6:30pm and racing at 7:00 pm on Saturday
night May 1. Adult general admission tickets will run $18, with students
16-12 running $9 and those under 12 will be admitted for free with an
adult. Pit passes for the race will run $30. For more information on the
