Outlaws at Charlotte Postponed by Rain to Saturday

From Tony Veneziano

Concord, NC – Persistent rain throughout the evening on Friday has led to the postponement of the Circle K Nos Energy Outlaw Showdown at The Dirt Track at Charlotte originally scheduled for the World of Outlaws on Friday, May 28.

The event has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 29 and will air on SPEED beginning at 10 p.m. Eastern, with Bobby Gerould and Brad Doty on the call with Shane Andrews and Steve Post reporting from the pit area.

Entering this weekend, Jason Meyers carries a two-race win streak into the event, while Joey Saldana who won last spring at Charlotte is the current series point leader. In the first 19 races of the 2010 season, there has been 10 different drivers winning A-Feature events, with 19 drivers leading laps in main events. Just 14 points separate Saldana and Meyers atop the World of Outlaws championship standings, with 20-time series champion Steve Kinser third only 24 markers out of the top spot.
