URC SPRINTS AND NASCAR MODS, AT GRANDVIEW ON JUNE 12TH

BECHTELSVILLE, PA June 9, 2010 . . . One of the most popular events of the season is the United Racing Company sprint car and NASCAR 358 Modified doubleheader presented each season at Grandview Speedway and it is happening on Saturday, June 12th at 7:30 p.m.

The exciting winged sprint cars featuring outstanding talents such as URC point leader Trevor Lewis, defending champion J.J. Grasso, many time past champion Curt Michael, Davey Sammons and a host of others will make up one half of the Banes Roofing Night. The second half of the show is reserved for the equally exciting NASCAR 358 Modifieds featuring point leader Duane Howard, who has been on a hot streak lately, along with eight time track champion Jeff Strunk, three feature winner Craig VonDohren, Ryan Godown, John Willman, Jon Kellner Sr. and a host of others.
A full series of qualifying heat races will be run in each division of competition topped by a 30-lap feature for the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and a 25-lap feature for the URC Sprint Cars.

Admission is $20 for adults, $5 for youngsters 6 through 11 and under 6 are admitted FREE.

Coming up on Saturday, June 26th is another special night of racing, the Don Marks Memorial presented by BPG Racing/Chad Sinon Motorsports will feature the NASCAR 358 Modifieds and Late Models. The Modified feature winner will receive a $1,000 gift certificate courtesy of Troyer Race Cars. Fans are being offered the opportunity to sponsor a lap for this night by paying $25 and receiving two tickets for that night of racing.

Fans can send a $25 check, payable to ESC, Inc., to ESC, Inc. at 1448 Hollywood Avenue, Langhorne, PA 19047 along with a self addressed stamped envelope. In return they will receive two adult tickets (normal price $26) and have their name listed as a lap sponsor in the official program book for that night. Purchases must be made by June 18th.

And to the fan or fans making the highest bid over $100 they will be given the use of the sponsor booth for the night. That means they get to watch the race in air conditioned comfort. Those wishing to sponsor a lap ($10) or sponsor a qualifying heat ($150) are invited to contact Saxton.

This will be the second year in a row that the memory of Don Marks, the long time track photographer, is kept alive with this Memorial event. Marks was a great friend to the sport and in particular to racers and fans at Grandview Speedway.
