BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Friday, June 11, 2010 – A heavy, late-afternoon rain in Bloomington has forced the cancelation of Kiva Night at Bloomington Speedway tonight, June 11. Radar and forecasts also were showing more rain for the rest of the evening.

A full racing bill, including the Grimes Pools & Spas Sprint Cars, the O’Neal Wood Products UMP Modifieds and the Tire and Wheel Center UMP Indiana Super Stocks, was scheduled. Racing star Kenny Schrader was also expected to race his UMP Modified against the Bloomington regulars tonight.

Anticipation will now build for Indiana Stoneworks night next Friday, June 18, when the USAC National Midgets roar into Bloomington, part of Indiana Midget Week. In addition to the cars and stars of the USAC National Midget division, fans will be treated to a double-dose of open wheel racing as the midgets will share the track with the Grimes Pools and Spas Sprint Cars of Bloomington Speedway.

Fans can expect to see USAC stars Bryan Clauson, Brad Sweet, Darren Hagen, Bobby East and Tracey Hines. Other drivers expected include Dave Darland, Jerry Coons, Jr. and Brad Kuhn.

Spectator gates for Indiana Stoneworks Night open at 5:30 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 with racing beginning at 7:30. General admission is $20 for adults, and kids under 12 are always FREE general admission at Bloomington Speedway with a general admission paying adult.
