Mercer, PA…From day one since purchasing Mercer Raceway Park, it’s been Bill Altman’s goal to make Mercer Raceway Park the region’s premier Sprint Car track. At the start of the 2010 season, Altman raised the purse an additional $1,000 with a region-high $1,500 going to the winner and an increase throughout the purse, along with awarding five Goodyear Tire certificates per night.

The move this season has brought in the likes of current point leader Ed Lynch, Jr., two-time winner Mike Lutz, and winners Bob Felmlee and Danny Holtgraver to battle prior Mercer Raceway Park regulars like four-time champion Rod George, up and coming stars Carl Bowser and Dan Kuriger, and others.

Now Altman has gone one step further today announcing an additional $785 has been added to the existing purse beginning this Saturday night, June 26. The 24-car purse now stands at a weekly region high $9,100 for 24 cars with $225 to take the green!

Also today, Altman announced that the Mini Stocks will now compete for $100 to-win on a weekly basis and a full feature payoff with $25 to-start!
