NATIONAL SPRINT CAR MUSEUM LAUNCHES NEWLY RE-DESIGNED WEB SITE

From Bob Baker

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (June 25, 2010) – The web site www.sprintcarhof.com has been re-designed and re-launched by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation and the new site makes it easier for sprint car fans around the world to become annual supporting members of, and permanent donors to, the 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation. Executive director Bob Baker today said, “With as many opportunities as we provide to our paid supporting members on an annual basis, we knew that we needed to find an easier way for people to show their commitment to our cause. With the help of Kyle McCullough at hostiowa.net, we have done just that.”

Fans wishing to become annual supporting members of the museum foundation in order to order the new “Members Only” Rich Vogler/Hoffman Family die-cast sprint car or to attend the “Members Only” VIP Reception during the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals can now do so on-line at their own convenience. And those wishing to make one-time donations to the membership-based, program-driven museum foundation can now do so by simply clicking on the ‘Donate’ icon on the main page of the web site. Baker said, “Charitable non-profit foundations worldwide continue to see an increase in the number of donations being made on-line, so we thought we needed to bring our web site up-to-speed, so to speak.”

In addition, the www.sprintcarhof.com web site has been re-designed to be more readable and more informative for the average fan of sprint car racing, past and present. Two of the more popular features of the web site are the ‘virtual tours’ or photo galleries of museum events, and all of the biographies of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductees from the first twenty years of inductions. The museum store web site, www.sprintcarstuff.com, is still linked to, and accessible from, the museum web site’s main menu. Those with additional ideas on how the museum can make its web site more user-friendly are encouraged to e-mail executive director Bob Baker at bbaker@sprintcarhof.com.
