50th GOODYEAR KNOXVILLE NATIONALS TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR NATIONAL SPRINT CAR MUSEUM’S SECOND FLOOR

By Bob Baker

KNOXVILLE, IOWA (July 3, 2010) – With the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil just around the corner on August 11-14, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum continues to sell tickets to the races on its air-conditioned second floor. Museum executive director Bob Baker said today, “According to The Weather Channel, the average high temperature for Knoxville in mid-August is eighty-four degrees. With that kind of heat and humidity, we are pleased to offer fans an opportunity to relax in an air-conditioned environment, complete with clean rest rooms. The four-day Knoxville Nationals ticket package costs $380, and allows the ticket-holder to sit in a non-smoking, air-conditioned environment on the second floor of the museum for the Wednesday-Saturday national championships. Only 150 tickets will be sold each night for the second floor by the non-profit museum foundation.”

Second floor tickets are available for all racing events on the Marion County Fairgrounds, including Knoxville’s non-winged, 360- and 410-cubic-inch sprint car, motorcycle and dirt late model national championships. Said Baker, “Additionally, we have closed-circuit television and the public-address system on the second floor. And we allow fans to bring their own food and drinks up to the second-floor clubhouse and the third- and fourth-floor suites on race nights, which is pretty unusual anymore at major sporting events. We feel we have one of the most fan-friendly environments in dirt track racing in all the world and we look forward to showcasing it at the 50th annual Goodyear Knoxville Nationals.”
