ROSSBURG, OH (July 26) – Saturday, July 31, will be a busy day in and around Eldora Speedway. Carrying sponsorship from NAPA Auto Parts, the on-track action will include non-winged Sprint Cars chasing for a $2,000 top prize along with the FASTRAK sanctioned Late Models in a National meet offering $5,000 to win. The off-track action includes race car displays, pre-race picnic, marching bands, classic car cruise-in and more.

Continuing with a tradition begun three years ago, the day has also been earmarked St. Henry (OH) Good Neighbors Day. From 11:00 – 1:00, several race teams will display their cars at St. Henry area businesses, for residents and race fans to get an up close look at the cars and get autographs. Discount tickets to the evening’s racing program will be available at these locations as well.

And then that evening, the St. Henry residents in attendance will be treated to a one-hour hospitality function, which includes reduced pricing food and beverages, along with an Eldora Speedway orientation and driver meet and greet. The St. Henry High School marching band will perform on the front stretch prior to the racing action and then perform the National Anthem.

The concluding function of the Good Neighbors promotion will be the presentation of a $200 check to the quickest on the non-winged Sprint Cars in attendance, courtesy of the St. Henry Commercial Club.

Also, during the afternoon, from 3:00-6:00, a classic car cruise-in will take place in the speedway parking lot and the Dayton Auto Racing Fans (DARF) will host an old-fashioned picnic in the Eldora Ballroom from 3:00 until 5:00.

The cruise-in is free to the public, while the picnic is free to DARF members and only $5.00 for non-members.
