Carver hunting for second “Fast Friday” win at North Alabama on Friday

Atlanta, GA – August 4, 2010 – Eighteen year-old Sophomore sprint car young gun Justin Carver from Drummonds, Tennessee optimistically returns to North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama this coming Friday night. The track is the location of Carver’s top performance during his rookie season with the United Sprint Car Series presented by Goodyear. Carver won the August 7, 2009 “Fast Friday” USCS event at North Alabama Speedway on his way to capturing the United Sprint Car Series National “Rookie of the Year” Championship for the 2009 season.

Carver will be one of the favorites to win at the 3/8 mile Alabama red clay oval on Friday night when the traveling USCS winged sprint car drivers entered from six states converge for the first half of a weekend double-header that also takes them to Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee on Saturday night.

Justin Carver was one of the most accomplished rookie drivers who have ever race in the USCS. One of his accomplishments was to win the USCS main event (at North Alabama) in the tough Mid South Thunder Tour regional series during his rookie season. Carver used a number of outstanding performances throughout the season on dirt and paved surfaces including that feature win to propel him to the coveted USCS National “Rookie of the Year” title. He additionally finished in the runner-up spot in the National Championship.
