MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Jeff Swindell and teammates, Justin Carver and Derek Hagar are looking forward to taking care of some unfinished business at the Four Crown Nationals at Eldora Speedway this weekend.

In 1992 Jeff Swindell came to Eldora, the final race on the Silver Crown trail, with the points lead. All he had to do was finish third or higher and he would be the champion. Second in points, Steve Butler started from the pole and Jeff Swindell took over the lead the lead early. Then things changed as a red flag came out at about the halfway point in the race. After looking at his tires and noticing the wear, Swindell elected to put a harder tire compound on his car. On the restart Jeff Swindell’s car slipped back as Butler took the lead and the win. Swindell would finish fifth and lose the championship by only seven points.

“I’m looking for a little redemption coming into Eldora,” said Jeff Swindell. “We had that race won and my bad judgment call cost us the race and the championship.”

Jeff Swindell will pilot the No. 199 Roush / Yates Ford Racing/ Red Line Oil entry this weekend at the Four Crown Nationals. In only his third start in the No. 199 for Carl Edwards/ RE Technologies Racing, Swindell predicts success.

“I think the No. 199 car has been making vast improvements every time we have been out. If we keep continuing on this direction, we will definitely be a force to reckon with.”

In their inaugural runs at Eldora, Derek Hagar and Justin Carver finished out of the top ten. This weekend, they too are looking for redemption against their bad luck of 2009.

“We were running strong last year until we had some bad luck,:” said Carver, driver of the No. 991 Memphis Fence / Dyno Tech entry. “I believe we can take what we learned last year into Eldora and have a strong showing.”

“I feel I have Eldora down as far as track setup and driving style,” added Derek Hagar, who will pilot the No. 91 Conrad Sand and Gravel / Dyno Tech/ J&J. “The track fits more of my driving style. Driving right up there on the wall. I think I have a pretty good chance of going out there and putting on a good show for everybody.”
