CRA OPENS SO-CAL FAIR SATURDAY

From Dick Jordan

The AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Cars open the 2010 Southern California Fair Saturday at Perris Auto Speedway and point leader Mike Spencer will aim for his fourth Perris victory of the season in the scheduled 30-lap feature event.

Saturday’s program will be split into two segments, with qualifications and heat races in the afternoon and the main event at 7 pm Saturday night. In between, participants and fans will be able to visit the fairgrounds vendors and enjoy the rides and cuisine.

Spencer, who has a comfortable 226-point lead over Danny Sheridan in the latest standings, could match David Cardey with a fourth PAS victory in 2010. Cardey strung together four straight from May to July but Spencer has won the last two.
