Colie, AU — Luch Monte has taken out the first round of the Hydraulink Southern Thunder Sprintcar Series at the SmokeFree Collie Speedway.
Saturday’s event was also the second round of the AHG Sprintcar Series for the current season.
With around 13 laps remaining Sheldon Brady spun in front of the lead cars with Jamie Maiolo, Ken Sartori and Mark Wells also unable to avoid him.
The leaders all had to go to the rear of the field after changing tyres.
Monte went on to score the victory over Ian Madsen, Jason Kendrick and David Hall.
