Millstadt, IL – The POWRi presented by Speedway Motors national midget schedule includes 26 dates throughout the Midwest including IL, IN, KS, MO, NE and WI. The season kicks off with its annual Dean King Memorial at the Southern Illinois Centers Mini Magic Mile in Duquoin, IL. The outdoor season kicks off at the Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, IL and Macon Speedway in Macon, IL on April 22nd and 23rd. Jacksonville will host two POWRi events this season.

Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, MO will host the POWRi midgets this year on Friday April 29th as a prelim to the “Missouri Mid-State Midget Nationals” to be held on Saturday April 30th at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO and will be co-sanctioned with the ASCS Midget Series. Valley Speedway and Lucas Oil last held POWRi events in 2008. POWRi and ASCS will also match up for an event on Saturday June 11th at Springfield Raceway in Springfield, MO as well.
Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville, IL will once again anchor the schedule for the POWRi National Midget series hosting five events. Friday May 13th will kick off at Belle-Clair with the POWRi Midget and Micro divisions as well as the Allied Late Model division. The 2nd annual Fan Fest will highlight the Belle-Clair schedule on Friday July 1st and Saturday July 2nd. This event is being taped by NEWAVE Productions for delayed broadcast on SPEED Channel Lucas Oil on the Edge. The Annual Arnie Knepper Memorial will be held Wednesday August 10th and the POWRi season will close at the bull-ring on Saturday Oct. 1st for the Charlene Meents Memorial.

The Hut 100 at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN will once again be co-sanctioned with the United States Auto Club. The 2010 version of the event was very successful which prompted the addition of the race to the 2011 schedule.

The Badger Midget Series will co-sanction ten POWRi events in 2011 starting at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, IL on June 3rd and for the first time on the schedule for POWRi on June 4th at Peoria Speedway in Peoria, IL. Badger will be guests as well at Belle-Clair for the July 1st and 2nd dates as well as the Midget Money Week events. Badger will host POWRi on July 16th at Wilmot Raceway and the famed Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, WI for the BMARA 75th Anniversary event on July 17th.

Macon Speedway will host five POWRi Midget events this season highlighted by the Friday August 19th date for the Dana Godfrey Memorial. On Saturday August 20th, after watching the big cars on the Springfield Mile, competitors will take a short drive to Lincoln, IL to tackle the third mile dirt of Lincoln Speedway. This will be the first event at Lincoln for POWRi since 2007.
Speedway Motors Midget Money week presented by Rev Honey will kick off Thursday July 28 at Solomon Valley Raceway in Beloit KS for the 2nd annual Chad McDaniel Memorial. On Fri July 29 & 30 will be the 2 day Cornhusker Midget Nationals at Junction Motor Speedway paying $12,000 to win. This will be one of the highest paying midget purses for 2011. While heading home on Sunday July 31 we will stop at US 36 Raceway in Cameron, MO. POWRi will host the RMMRA and BMARA Midget series for these four events.

No Midget Season would be complete without the Jacksonville Speedway Herb Barlow Memorial on Friday September 16th and the Annual Tom Knowles Memorial on Saturday September 17th at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, IL.
