Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway and the PA Sports Network will continue their radio relationship in 2011 as the historic oval broadcasts weekly to the networks’ 1,000,000 Keystone State listeners throughout the racing season.

Beginning March 19, the speedway will have a designated time slot each Saturday morning as part of PA Sports Saturday, on the air from 8 AM – 12 PM.

The Port Royal portion of the show will air live between 8:45 AM and 9 AM each week and fans can join members of the PRS Promotions team for the segment along with host Jed Donahue on over a dozen stations.

Local auto racing fans can tune in throughout north, central and southern Pennsylvania to get their weekly fix of auto racing news from the midstate circuit with a focus on results from and what’s happening at Port Royal Speedway.

The PA Sports Network strives to deliver pure sports entertainment to deep-rooted loyal sports fans in Pennsylvania, focusing on the rich history of Pennsylvania sports.

Both the network and Port Royal Speedway agree that auto racing at the Juniata County oval is one of the rich-in-history, major sporting events in the state that should be showcased as part of the networks’ programming.

“Port Royal Speedway and local auto racing continues to impress us with its wide appeal and we are happy and proud to have Port Royal again bring local racing news and information back to the PA Sports Network on a regular basis,” says network founder, Vice President and broadcaster Jed Donahue.
