Sarver, PA (March 31, 2011) For the second straight weekend, inclement weather and forecasts have pulled the plug on Lernerville Speedway’s Opening Night 2011 of Fab Four Racing. With snow and cold weather plaguing the last two days and forecasted again tomorrow, Opening Night 2011 has been postponed until next Friday, April 8.

Mother Nature willing, Budweiser points will start next week for all divisions of Fab Four Racing. Features in the Precise Lates and Diehl Mods will now feature 20-car fields in lieu of 24-cars fields. This format was established last year in the Ti22 Sprints and worked well, allowing more purse money to be spread throughout the field.

With Opening Night 2011 now scheduled for Friday, April 8, Silver Jacket Night will be backed up to Friday, April 22 along with the Easter Egg Extravaganza! On Silver Jacket Night, any fan wearing the old school Don Martin’s Lernerville Speedway silver satin jacket will receive the senior “silver” discount, paying just $10 for general admission. Silver Jacket wearers will also receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win two FREE tickets to the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XX Twin 30s featuring the World of Outlaws Sprints on Tuesday, July 19.

Between Opening Night on April 8 and the Easter Egg Extravaganza/Silver Jacket Night on April 22 is the always popular Ladies Night on Friday, April 15. All ladies will be welcomed FREE into general admission until 7:00PM. There will also be special door prizes for the ladies all night long!

From the Lernerville.com homepage you can also purchase DIRTcar Memberships, register for Fantasy Fab Four Racing and buy tickets for the 5th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com, the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XX Twin 30s and/or the Commonwealth Clash.

In closing, for the second straight year, a former Lernerville Track Champion is being inducted into the Beaver County Sports Hall of Fame. 1993 Track Champion and the reigning Knoxville Nationals and All Stars Champion Tim Shaffer will join Kevin Bolland as the only two race car drivers in the prestigious Hall of Fame that also includes household names like Joe Namath, Mike Ditka and Tony Dorsett. The induction ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 1. Congratulations Timmy, we continue to be exceedingly proud of all of your accomplishments!

Until next week, think warm, dry thoughts and get ready for the clay to fly next Friday, April 8 for Fab Four Racing’s Opening Night 2011!
