– HIGGINSVILLE, Mo. (April 18) – It was a long way to haul to not even unload the trailer.

And for Danny Lasoski, who’s running his team out of pocket this year, the miles added up quickly when his trip to race with the World of Outlaws in Paducah, Ken., and Pevely, Mo., were rained out last weekend.

Approximately 400 miles – each way – to be exact.

“It’s really frustrating,” he said. “We have a lot of expenses, with the diesel cost, hotel and food.”

Lasoski made the drive to Paducah International Raceway and I-55 Raceway before both races were cancelled because of the weather. After returning home for this week, the Dover, Mo., native will rejoin the World of Outlaws for its race on Saturday at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Okla.

“Anytime you win a race, it’s a gratification in your gut,” said Lasoski, who has won his past two features on Saturday night races. “When you race with the World of Outlaws, you’re racing with the best of the best.

“Hopefully it doesn’t rain next weekend.”
