Putnamville, IN — Weather conditions have intervened to force postponement of this Saturday’s AMSOIL USAC National Sprint race at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind.

“The past couple of weeks have been challenging for us and we need a weekend to regroup and address the problems associated with all the inclement weather,” says race organizer Joe Spiker. “We want to provide USAC and its participants with the best racing conditions possible and due to the rain and other factors we are unable to do that this weekend. We plan to be closed this weekend so that we can install additional drainage and make other improvements to our facility to help prepare for similar weather situations in the future.”

USAC officials are in discussion with the race organizer to re-schedule the event as part of the remaining 2011 AMSOIL National Sprint Car schedule.

The next AMSOIL USAC National Sprint race is May 20 at the Bloomington (Ind.) Speedway.
