SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Selinsgrove Speedway officials cancelled Saturday
night’s four division show at 3:15 p.m. when the first of a series of
thunderstorms struck the track. The cancellation marked the third of the
2011 racing season due to inclement weather.

The speedway will swing back into action at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 14, with
the running of the NRG Controls North Jack Gunn Memorial Challenge Race for
URC/358 sprint cars. The 30-lap main event will pay $3,500 to win out of a
$15,000-plus purse. Also on the racing card will be the late models and pro
stocks. Track gates will open at 5 p.m.

The speedway will also hold an open practice session this Wednesday, May
11, from 6:30-9 p.m. The cost is $100 per race car. Pit and general
admission for the practice night is free.
