LAWRENCEBURG MSCS OPENER RESCHEDULED

mscs midwest sprint car series

From MSCS

May 15, 2011 — The Hoosier Tire Midwest Sprint Car Series race scheduled to be held at Lawrenceburg Speedway on May 14th was cancelled because of inclement weather. This is the second year in a row that rain interfered with MSCS being able to open the season at Lawrenceburg Speedway. However series officials and track promoter Dave Rudisell have had time to confer and the race has been rescheduled. The new date will be Saturday May 28th.

The Lawrenceburg Speedway May 28th race will still serve as the season opener for the Midwest Sprint Car Series. The 25 lap feature race will pay $2,000 to win! In addition that night the speedway will be holding Service Men & Women Night. The combination should provide fans with a very special evening at the speedway. The track is located 1 mile East of Lawrenceburg, IN, on U.S. 50.

Because of this change to the season schedule, two races will now take place for the Midwest Sprint Car Series on the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend. Tri-State Speedway will also host the sprints for the Memorial Weekend Classic on Sunday May 29th. The 30 lap feature will pay $3,000 to win. Tri-State Speedway is 3 miles North of I-64 on Highway 41 at Haubstadt, IN.
