Rain forces Attica cancellation; car show, speedweek opener up next

ATTICA, Ohio – Heavy thunderstorms late Friday afternoon forced the cancellation of racing at Attica Raceway Park for June 10 on Croghan Colonial Bank/ All Pro Cylinder Heads Night.

Fans are invited to Legends Sports Pub and Grille in Clyde, Ohio on Thursday, June 16 to help kick off the 29th Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek. There will be several race cars on display along with great food specials from 5-8 p.m. Eagle 99’s Buckeye Speedzone will also be broadcasting live from 6-7 p.m.

Attica Raceway Park will kick off Speedweek – featuring the O’Reilly Auto Parts All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Cars – on Friday, June 17, Ohio Cat/Eagle 99 Night. The Fultz Fabrications & Speed Shop UMP Late Models will also be in competition.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Star Kasey Kahne will be behind the wheel of a sprint car at Attica and usually sticks around following the races to sign autographs.

Ohio Sprint Speedweek features eight nights of racing over nine days across the Buckeye State.
