Hall of Fame hosts Kevin O’Neal and Al Stilley will get you up-to-date with all the latest news and talk to some of the great personalities who make the Bryant Heating and Cooling Indianapolis Speedrome® special. This week’s guests include star USAC drivers Billy Wease, Jarett Andretti, and Dillon Welch. Also tune in to hear news about the Irvington Innovation Zone. You just never know who or what you will hear on Speedrome Live.

Noblesville, Indiana’s Billy Wease has seen just about everything on the race track. He not only enters Friday’s Mel Kenyon Classic as a former Speedrome champion, Billy won the 100-lap USAC Mopar National Midget Series race held here on August 4, 2004. That magical night he bested a super strong podium of Dave Steele and Bobby East after leading the final 97 circuits. He has experience at all levels of NASCAR, ARCA, USAC and about anything with wheels. The talented ace impressed many with a 2nd place result in his first ARCA stockcar start at Michigan International Speedway in 2006.

The name Andretti is one of the most familiar in all of motorsports. The next generation family racer is Jarett, the son of 1983 Indianapolis Speedrome track champion John Andretti. Jarett will be making his very first USAC Mopar National Midget Series start this Friday in the Mel Kenyon Classic. This rising star has been rising through the ranks of USAC’s Ford Focus Midgets in 2011. He has 3 feature wins this year and many podium visits. His point totals are currently good enough for 2nd in the Eastern standings and 5th in the Midwest listings. Jarett is aiming to achieve victory on the same track as his dad.

Dillon Welch is very familiar with the famous fifth-mile Speedrome racing surface. He picked up a pair of USAC D1 Midget feature wins here last year helping him take runner-up honors in the series championship. He had won title gold in 2009 in the sanctioning bodies final go around with the Kenyon Midgets. The son of national motorsports broadcaster dad Vince has been very fast in 2011. He captured pole position in the USAC Mopar National Midget Series most recent visit to the Milwaukee Mile. Dillon from Carmel, Indiana will have some exciting news about joining the Famed Nine Racing midget team.

Also on the show will be UAW President of Local 226 Gary Canter, UAW CAP Council Chairperson of Greater Marion County Danny Ernstes, and additional representatives from Pure Power Technologies. These gentlemen have taken a great interest in the Indianapolis Speedrome®, its racers, and our great fans. Race track subjects like this weekend’s USAC Mopar National Midget Mel Kenyon Classic and the 35th Annual World Figure 8® Championship. In addition, they will get us up to speed on the Irvington Innovation Zone, a wonderful neighborhood effort to improve this historic side of Indianapolis.
