August 23, 2011 – The “Night of the Twins” last weekend at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa only made things tighter as far as the point race goes for the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders. Bobby Mincer still leads the race, but Matt Sutton, on the strength of his win last weekend is within nine points. Kaley Gharst moved into third with two strong runs, but he is only two markers ahead of Ryan Jamison.
Jimmy Davies, Joe Beaver, Andy Huston, Ben Wagoner, who won last weekend as well, Justin Parrish and John Greenwood round out the top ten with three events remaining on the schedule.
This Friday night’s event scheduled for the Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois has been moved back to September 9 to accommodate a conflict in the track’s schedule. The next event for the Sprint Invaders will be on Labor Day weekend, Sunday, September 4, at the Quincy Raceways in Quincy, Illinois.
The rescheduled date at Jacksonville sets up an exciting weekend. After the event on Friday, the series moves to the 34 Raceway on Saturday, September 10 for their Season Championship race.
