It’s time to scrape the mud off, put some fresh tear-offs on and get those 900-horsepower Winged monsters back for another crack at potentially the biggest payday in Australian Speedway!
The Scott Darley $50,000 Challenge will be run, in its entirety on Friday & Saturday March 16 & 17.
After extensive talks, these dates have been slated as not to clash with any other major events around the country.
“The positive thing in coming out of setting the dates in March is that we will have the best of the Aussies against the best from America” said Tyrepower Sydney Speedway Assistant Manager, Rod Britton today.
“We really want to encourage all racers around Australia to participate in an event that means so much, to so many people.”
A fair portion of Australia’s best Sprintcar drivers who have had commitments elsewhere during the busy Christmas/New Year period are expected to show up to try and snare the $50,000 on offer should they be top point-scorer and win from position 19 in the final night A-Main.
So there you have it race fans, we are locked, loaded and ready to do the 50K dance from the top.
Only one question remains… Can an Aussie finally win the cash booty, or will there be a late American surge for $50,000 stash?
