From Tyrepower Sydney Speedway
Saturday’s race meeting – March 3 – featuring the Sprintcars, Speedcars and Legend Cars was washed-out.
Track staff had been working throughout the entire week and all day Saturday – with the racing surface still in a very presentable condition. However, the facility required a dry afternoon and evening to complete the race meeting. Despite the Parramatta area receiving very little precipitation at present and band of rain is currently over the Bathurst/Lithgow area and heading towards Sydney. If the Speedway received any more rain whatsoever this afternoon it would leave the facility in an unusable state. Due to the high likelihood of further rain coming – the decision was made in the best interest of competitors – many of whom have traveled a long distance for tonight’s race meeting and race fans a like – to declared tonight’s race meeting off.
