Consistent Form = Results

Justin Watt is confident of finishing the 2011/12 wingless sprint season on a successful note after enjoying a recent run of consistent run of results.

The defending Sydney Speedway Wingless Sprint Track Champion just fell short of a podium finish, fourth, in a shortened feature race, due to another driver’s crash, late last month at Sydney Speedway, while the previous Sydney Speedway race meeting he recorded a season best feature race result after finishing in second place.

In-between those race meetings, the NSW # 90 Hydraulink Fluid Connectors supported Eagle driver contested the 2012 Australian Title at Sydney Speedway. In this event, he managed to qualify directly into both feature races over the two nights of racing. After a tough run through the Australian Title deciding feature race, which was mainly due to a damaged car after being involved in someone else’s accident in the early laps of the race, Watt fought on gallantly to finish 12th.

“Over the past month we’ve been in some good form, but it was disappointing to have a bit of bad luck at the Australian Title which denied us of a better result,” he explained. “There are still a number of race meetings left this season, and we’ve proven that we can be a winning contender. It’d be great to finish out the season with a couple of wins to our name.”

Watt’s biggest event of the remainder of the season is going to be when he contests the inaugural Queensland Easter Trail. Run over three rounds, the Easter Trail will begin at Maryborough Speedway (Maryborough, QLD) on Friday night, April 6; followed by Archerfield Speedway (Brisbane, QLD) on Saturday night, April 7, and concluding at Charlton Raceway (Toowoomba, QLD) on Sunday night, April 8. It has also been confirmed recently that former Sydney, now Queensland based Karl Skelton will be making a cameo return to the wingless sprint class at one of the Easter Trail rounds aboard the Watt machine.

The remaining five race meetings on Watt’s 2011/12 season schedule are going to be at Sydney Speedway. The dates are going to be this Saturday night (March 10); followed by Friday night, March 16 (supporting the $50,000 Scott Darley Challenge for the sprintcars); Saturday night, March 31; Saturday night, April 21; and his final appearance of the season on Saturday night, April 28.

In the 2011/12 season, Watt is proudly supported by the following sponsors – Hydraulink Fluid Connectors, JW Autosports, Weld-Mart Australia, C&J Automotive Mechanical Repairs, FRS, Beverly Hills Mowers & Chainsaws, Dick’s Electronics, and Custom Cars built by Mark Heaton.
