Nic Faas and defending four-time AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car Champion Mike Spencer are separated by seven points as the series now prepares for an April 28 return to Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

Threatening rain held off to allow race fans to witness one of the best races in Perris Auto Speedway history Saturday night as Spencer beat Faas to the checkered flag in a photo finish!

Spencer, of Temecula, Calif., grabbed the lead from early leader R.J. Johnson on lap eight and led the rest of the way, but he and Faas traded the lead back and forth through traffic lap after lap keeping the crowd in a frenzy. Spencer’s margin of victory in his Grubstake Mini Storage/Madera Produce Eagle/Shaver was less than a car length.

Matt Mitchell took third ahead of Ryan Bernal and Austin Williams, which put Mitchell third in the series standings, just 10 behind Faas.
