Abbottstown, PA — (April 21, 2012) — The rain couldn’t have arrived at a worse time at Lincoln Speedway Saturday evening.

With a full pit area and track preparer Fred Putney and his crew putting the finishing touches on the racing surface, rain began falling two minutes before the 358 sprint cars were scheduled to take to the track for heat in the motors.

For several hours Saturday afternoon, it looked like Lincoln may get the show in. But a large storm developing to the southwest and heading northeast forced promoters to pull the plug at 6:30 p.m.

It was Lincoln’s second rainout of the season.

Next Saturday, April 28th, at 7 PM, Lincoln Speedway will host another 3-division show feature the Lawrence Chevrolet 410 Sprints, Keizer Aluminum Wheels 358 Sprints and the Central PA Legends. Gates will open at 5 PM.
