Rescheduled Macon next for Badger Midgets

Sun Prairie, Wis. May 3— The Stark Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series will continue on Saturday Night May 12 at Macon Speedway. The event is the rain date for the April 28th event, and will be co-sanctioned with the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midgets. The POWRi Speedway Motors 600cc Outlaw Micro Series will also compete at track.
Macon will host three POWRi/Badger events this season, it will be the first ever Badger sanctioned events at the exciting high banked 1/4-mile clay oval which is a fixture on the POWRi schedule. Past Badger Champions Brad Kuhn, Mike Hess, and Kevin Doty, have scored midget feature wins at the track along with four-time car owner champion Don Boorse who won at the track on July 30, 1959. Danny Stratton holds a ten-point cushion over Kuhn after the season opening April 27 event at Jacksonville Speedway won by Mario Clouser.
The Badger 600 Micro Series begins its second season on Saturday Night May 5 at Sycamore (Ill.) Speedway. Defending Champion Chad Bogar leads the growing list of entrants who plan to compete in the sixteen race series.
