Canyon Campaign resumes this Saturday at Arizona Speedway!

Tulsa, Oklahoma (5-7-2012) – The non winged stars of the ASCS Canyon Region will showcase their third event in as many weeks this Saturday, May 12th at Apache Junction’s Arizona Speedway.

Buckeye, Arizona’s Chargin’ Charles Davis Jr. is off to an excellent start chasing his third career ASCS Canyon Region title following season crowns in 2008 and 2009.
Davis has propelled the Massey Motorsports no. 50 into victory lane in three of four early contests.

Davis nabbed season opening honors at Canyon Speedway Park, as well as inaugural ASCS Canyon events at Arizona Speedway and Yuma’s Cocopah Speedway.

Davis’ earned inaugural Canyon bragging rights at Arizona Speedway in electrifying fashion, streaking past fellow Canyon veteran RJ Johnson on the last lap to nab the first ever ASCS Canyon competition held at Apache Junction’s high banked 3/8 mile oval.

Phoenix, Arizona’s RJ Johnson enters the Arizona Speedway affair with hopes of turning the tables on Davis in both Saturday’s event and the point standings. Johnson currently trails Davis by 99 markers in the 2012 ASCS Canyon Region title chase.

Saturday’s trip to Apache Junction marks the second of 6 ASCS Canyon events at Arizona Speedway, while also featuring the fifth of 21 events on the 2012 ASCS Canyon Region slate.
