– Willie Croft would like to forget about this past weekend at the Thunderbowl in Tulare, CA as the Sacramento, CA driver had mechanical woes knock him out of the feature prior to the green flag, and a slip up leading knocked him out of the feature on the second lap Saturday night.

“This was about as bad of a weekend as you can get,” explained Croft.

Friday night saw Croft time in 21st quickest out of the 26 cars checked into the pit area.

He was knocked out of his heat race due to a collision with Rico Abreu and was forced into the Last Chance Qualifier.

Scoring a second place in the LCQ, Croft earned a spot in the feature, but as he was idling around, and getting lined up, he noticed a lack of oil pressure and elected to pull off, ending his night.

Saturday night was just as rough for Croft. Even though it started much better, the end result was nearly identical to Friday.

With 28 cars in the pit area, Croft timed his Holey Smokes BBQ/Christian Stover Foundation/FK Rod Ends machine in 11th quick.

Picking up a heat win, Croft picked up a second place finish in the Dash, lining up on the front row of the feature with Rico Abreu.

Gunning into the early lead, Croft lead the first lap and a half until he entered turns one and two and on the tip top of the track, and made contact that ended his night.

“It was just a horrendous weekend,” said Croft. “From motor issues one night, to taking myself out of a race while leading the next night is about as frustrating as it gets.”

Willie Croft would like to thank Holey Smokes BBQ, The Christian Stover
