USCS Outlaw Sprint Cars headline 15th Annual Battle at the Bullring”

Columbus, MS – May 31, 2012- The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by Goodyear winged sprint cars headline the 15th annual USCS Battle at the Bullring at historic Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Missisippi this Friday and Saturday nights (June 1st and 2nd). The two-night winged sprint car event serves as the Round #5 and Round #6 / Finale for the USCS Sprint Speedweek 2012 mini-series. The 7th annual USCS Speedweek six-race/eight-day mini-tour has already made stops at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas (5/26), Greenville Speedway (5/27) in Greenville Mississippi and Clayhill Motorsports (5/28) in Atwood, Tennessee. The Thursday night (5/31) Round #4 at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee was cancelled by severe weather. The first three Speedweek 2012 events so far have produced three different winners. Tim Crawley on Saturday night at Riverside, Justin Carver on Sunday night at Greenville and Derek Hagar on Memorial Day evening at Clayhill.

The USCS presented by Goodyear Outlaw Thunder Tour is enjoying its most competitive season ever with eight different winners in its first ten events. This weekend’s Columbus Speedway event is bringing a top field of drivers from at least seven states to the famed 3/10 mile clay oval.

Joining the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars on the triple-header United Speed Contest Sanction (USCS) racing card both nights will be the K&N Filters USCS Modified Touring Series for open wheel modifieds and the www.RockAuto.com USCS 600 Sprint Car Series for winged mini/micro sprints. Additionally on the racing program on Friday night are the Nesmith Dirt Late Models, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks. Each of the divisions will contest a full racing program including main events both nights.

On Saturday night all six of these divisions compete in the finals with another full racing program in each division plus the popular Columbus Super Late Models also compete as co-headliners with the winged sprint cars on Saturday night.
