Yet another first-time Sprint Car winner visited the Engine Pro Racing Winner’s Circle last Friday when Grimsby’s Travis Cunningham took the checkered flag. Ohsweken’s own Glenn Styres continues to lead the championship standings, however, and has a 20 point lead over Fenwick driver Chris Steele heading into this week’s event. Tom Huppunen – another Fenwick driver – is third in the standings, just 2 points behind Steele, while Cunningham is now fourth, and Port Colborne’s Dave Dykstra rounds out the top five.

Thedford’s Shane Ross scored a runner-up finish last Friday, and leads the Rookie of the Year standings, with young Conor Mahoney of Waterdown next in line. Both drivers are within the top 17 in the overall championship standings heading into this week’s race.
