Red-hot, Kyle Hirst has been setting the state of fire the last few weeks with wins and top finishes, and he kept up his current run by posting a fourth place finish at the 7th Annual Mark Forni Classic at the Placerville Speedway on Saturday night.

Climbing aboard the famed Vertullo Motorsports No. 83V for the event, Hirst’s night started off by timing in seventh quick with 32 cars checked into the pit area.

Failing to transfer from his heat race, KH was forced to run in the night’s B main event, which he started, on the front row.

After several failed attempts at a start, Hirst finally rocketed to the lead aboard his Starr Management Properties/A.R.T./CSI Shocks machine and cruised to the win, putting his machine in the fifth row for the feature event.

Lining up in the ninth spot, Hirst showed patience as he slowly worked his way into the top five and began pressuring the likes of Steven Allard and Andy Gregg.

Hirst was able to clear Allard for the fifth spot before getting around CJ Humphries for the fourth spot as he chased down to lead trio of J. Allard, Andy Forsberg, and Gregg.

As the leaders worked through traffic, Hirst looked to get around Gregg for the third spot but as the checkered flag waved, the Swepco Oil/A.R.T. No. 83v ended up in the fourth spot.

“This track was fun to run on tonight, I just wish I could of gotten through my heat, because that would of put us a little closer to the front of this thing tonight,” said Hirst. “I have to thank Dave, Debbie, and everyone who helps on this thing on a nightly basis.”

Kyle and his Vertullo Motorsports team would like to thank Starr Property Management, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, A.R.T. Chassis, CSI Shocks, and Swepco Oil for their continued support in 2012.

ON TAP: Kyle will now return to the seat of the Roth Motosports No.83 at the Antioch Speedway as he will be in action with the Cancen Oil King of the West Series. The last time this team was in Antioch, Kyle picked up the win.
