Port Royal – A great number of valuable contingency awards and prizes are slated to be distributed at the upcoming Port Royal Speedway Living Legends Dream Race Honoring Lynn Paxton and Al Hamilton on Saturday, August 4 at 7:30 pm.

All the contingencies are on top of the already posted more than $50,000 purse money that is on the line including $2,000 to win a pair of 16-lap semi features and $10,000 to win the Dream A main.

The Hoseheads Dream Race Hard Charger Award will pay $300 to the driver who has advanced the most positions from his original starting spot at the finish.

In addition, a pair of fast time awards worth a minimum of $150 each will be paid out to the fast timer of each semi main courtesy of Terry Ritzman of Millerstown.

And, more than $1,200 in lap money has been posted with the leader of each lap of the twin 16-lap semis as well as the 30-lap Dream A garnering $20 for each circuit. R. E. Davidson & Son, H. F. Campbell & Son Trucking and River Valley Builders have sponsored lap moneys.

All of the above mentioned cash alone pushes the total one-night sprint purse to just about $55,000 and after the contingency prizes are figured in, the final figures on the one night take will be pushing if not eclipsing $60,000.

Included in the Dream contingency prize list are Goodyear Tires, Keizer Wheels, $200 gift certificates for VRP Shocks, $100 DMI gift certificates, engine dynos from both Rider and Ott Racing engines (valued at nearly $600 each), a set of nerf bars and bumpers from Mach 1 Chassis, Wings Unlimited discount vouchers plus certificates will be up for grabs from Rod End Supply, Zemco Speed Equipment, Penske Shocks and RE Technologies.

The list of contingencies is only expected to grow over the coming days.
