Owendale, MI — (August 25, 2012) — In front of an excited crowd at Owendale Speedway Steve Irwin took the checkered flag for the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP main event at the racy 1/4 mile oval.
Irwin of Fenton MI started fourth and took the lead on the third lap in the Tracy Rice owned sprint car. He was challenged repeatedly by current points leader Gregg Dalman and Brett Mann. This was his first ASCS Sprints on Dirt feature victory in five years.
Irwin stated: “ It feels great to get back into victory lane at my home track.”The winner of the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP feature thanked his fine sponsors and crew.
The top five finishers of the exciting feature race for the Engine Pro ASCS Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP were—1. Irwin, 2. Dalman, 3. Mann, 4. Jared Horstman, 5.Ryan Grubaugh.
Heat race wins were captured by Irwin, Greg Wheeler, and Davey Brown. The Brodix Heads dash went to Shawn Dancer.
