Brad Lamberson would take advantage of a front row starting spot and jump to an early lead. The race would stop after the first circuit when Trey Smith would flip down the front stretch. Trey was ok, but the car was finished for the night. Lamberson, a 2012 Sprint Car Rookie, would jump back out to the lead and wouldn’t look back, as he would take his first career Winged Sprint car feature win over Shawn Dancer. Doug Zimmerman, a longtime veteran of the Butler Motor Speedway, would finish 3rd and capture his first Track Championship.
