The Parker Stores “Hall of Fame” race is next on the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car schedule, slated October 26-27 at Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz. The event also offers AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car Series points and will attract drivers and cars from both series.

Nic Faas of Huntington Beach, Calif. vaulted back to second in the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint points Saturday, winning the 30-lap Southern California Fair race at the Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.

Faas wheeled the Scott Sales Company/VP Fuels/LaVilla Restaurant special to the lead on lap eight and led the final 23 laps, despite three red-flag incidents in the closing laps for flips. Rip Williams led the first seven laps of the race.

Faas was trailed by Mike Spencer at the checkered flag, with Cody Williams third, David Bezio fourth and Austin Williams fifth.

The point race is somewhat academic with Spencer 323 points ahead of Faas, but Faas’ victory enabled him to move into a 19-point edge over Brody Roa.
