Johnson and Campbell to Decide NCRA Sprint Title This Saturday Night!

Park City, KS – October 16, 2012 – Defending tour champion and current point leader C.J. Johnson will lead the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products 360 sprint car division into 81 Speedway in Park City this coming Saturday night, October 20th for the twelfth and final event on the 2012 sprint car schedule as part of the tracks annual “Wix Filters/Bumper to Bumper Fall Classic.”

On the strength of two victories thus far on the season, Johnson will come into the season finale with a 150 point lead over former series champion Jeremy Campbell. Both of Johnson’s victories have come at 81 Speedway with Jason Johnson and Danny Jennings also having claimed victories on the home track for the series.

Campbell has one victory on the season, claiming the annual Hutchinson Grand Nationals in Hutchinson, Kansas back in July.

Luke Cranston has had a solid season and sits third in the point standings having driven both the #20 and #e85 sprinter throughout the season.

Fourth in the point standings is Jon Freeman while current Brodix rookie of the year point leader Zach Blurton has had a solid rookie season and rounds out the top five.

Rounding out the top ten in the point standings and also expected to compete for the $2000 first place prize includes Mike Peters, Jeff Stasa, Jake Martens, Marc Robe and Barry Gifford.

So far this season 71 different drivers from eleven different states have competed in at least one of the eleven events held with eight different drivers having claimed victory. They include C.J. Johnson and Jennings (2), Jason Johnson, Campbell, Logan Forler, Adam Gullian, Brian Brown and Jack Dover.

The past five events that have been completed have seen five different feature winners, all coming at different venues.

The average car count for the NCRA 360 sprint car division at 81 Speedway is 30 with the highest coming at the season opener (39) and the lowest (23) at the last event held at the speedway.
