Randy Lewis is known as the “World’s Number One Track Chaser” and has visited 1806 tracks in 62 different countries during his travels. He resides in San Clemente, California and once called Ascot Park in Gardena a home track prior to its closing in the early 1990’s. Lewis set the track chasing record in 2005 by traveling to an amazing 182 new tracks that season.

Last season Fair Oaks, California’s Chad Compton competed in his first season of 410 Sprint Car racing and brought home the King of the West Series Rookie of the Year award. We were joined in the KWS Studio by Compton and discussed his career in racing thus far, as well as his family life and what his goals are for next year. Compton’s family has been in the Super Market business for a number of years with “Compton’s Markets” in Sacramento.

Our special holiday episode will also feature a glimpse at the first three races of the 2013 King of the West Sprint Car Series season. With the schedule having the final touches put on it as we speak, the release date is fast approaching, but prior to that we’ll take a look at races one, two and three on the show this week.
