Lein to run three cars at Badger Indoor Opener”

New Richmond, WI — (January 25, 2013) — Reigning Badger Midget Series Car Champion Hans Lein has filed three entries for  “The Indoor Nationals” at the Cedar Lake Speedway Arena. Lein will utilize drivers Dave Darland, Danny Stratton and Vance Lein for the  two-day event at the indoor quarter-mile dirt oval on March 9-10.

Darland won the March 30, 2008 feature at the track, following a feature runner-up finish the previous night while driving for Lein. Darland also captured the trophy dash and his heat race both nights! Stratton scored three feature victories during the 2012 season, including a fourth place finish in the Chili Bowl Nationals. Lein, the 2012 Badger Midget Rookie of the Year will make his Indoor racing debut.

Manic Racing has entered a pair of Stealth/Fontana’s for drivers David Budres and Travis Berryhill. Budres made both feature events in 2008, while Berryhill who finished third in Badger Series points in 2010 will be competing at the track for the first time.
The event will be the season opener for the the Stark Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series.  Also competing in the event will be Badger 600 Micros and Legends Cars.  An optional practice night is scheduled for Friday night, March 8. Saturday Night March 9 racing will kickoff at 5 p.m., with Sunday afternoon’s racing events starting at 1 p.m. Saturday’s event will pay $2,000 to win, with Sunday’s winning capturing $2,500, with a $1,000 bonus to any driver winning both features.
