Syracuse, NY — (February 6, 2013) —  It was teased in 2012 and now it has become reality for 2013. One of the highlights for the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints 30th Anniversary Schedule will be the first CNY Speedweek that spans at four different tracks over five days.

“Last year we ran five events in eight days and it was very successful. Now with July 4th moved closer to a weekend it enabled us to put together a true Speedweek.” said ESS President Chuck Miller. “We already had several teams ask about the events and I think this will be one of our highlights for our 30th Anniversary Tour. More teams looking to run these events could also mean more teams looking to run the whole tour.”

It all starts on Wednesday night July 3rd at the RollingWheelsRacewayPark, then moves to the Brewerton Speedway on July 4th, up to the Can-AmMotorsportsPark on July 5th and after a Sat. off to regroup it will close out on Sunday July 7th at the Utica-Rome Speedway. Four tracks all within an hour and a half from each other.

SUNY Canton has come in to be the title sponsor of the Speedweek and with their help all four events will pay $2,000 to win and will also pay out a $1,000 point fund to the top point getters. To add even more to the events, they will also be part of our annual SUNY Canton Series which also has a separate point fund as well.

The 30th Anniversary Tour is shaping up to be one of the most exciting in history. Coming off a very successful 2012 tour where the average car count was 31, all the tracks from last year are back (with the exception of Le RPM which is going under many improvements and ESS’ return will come next year) and ESS has already added three new facilities to the full point schedule.

Selinsgrove Speedway, Ohsweken Speedway and the New Humberstone Speedway have already inked dates for the new year and there are still a few more in the works as there are still many openings available with the schedule to be announced in a few weeks.

All the top ESS teams have confirmed to be back where they will be looking to dethrone now two-time champion Chuck Hebing.  But, the Cobra’s quest for a three-peat will be tough. Lance Yonge, Shawn Donath, a now healthy Steve Poirier, Justin Barger, Paul Kinney, Michael Parent, Jeff Cook, Cory Sparks, Matt Tanner, Jason Barney, Mike Stelter, Sammy Reakes IV, Patrick Vigneault, Kevin Ward Jr., Joe Trenca, Etienne Girard, Paul Habeck and many more are ready for the new season. Add to the list Vinny Vitale, Dave Axton and the return of Zach Weigand to several events it will be a fun year.

It all starts on March 9 and 10 at the annual Motorsports Expo in Syracuse, NY where ESS will have no less than 10 sprinters as a part of the ESS booth. The schedule will be officially released along with the debut of the new 2013, 30th Anniversary merchandise and more.
