Tulsa, OK — (February 18, 2013) — Nestled in the Gulf South of the United State, Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas is the latest addition to the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real.
Co-Sanctioning with the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region, the $4,000 to win show will sit ahead of the spring date at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark. for the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real and will be the fifth time the series has visited the Golden Triangle Raceway Park.
The 2012 visit to Golden Triangle Raceway Park saw Oklahoma’s Wayne Johnson advance from his twelfth starting spot to win the Friday night thriller after early leader Tony Bruce, Jr. fell out with eight laps remaining due to a mechanical failure.
In the series four previous visits to the Beaumont oval, four separate winners have been crowned with Zach Chappell taking the series inaugural win on April 5, 2002. Tim Crawley and Michael Dupuy followed up later that year with Crawley victorious on Sept. 27 with Dupuy ending on top the following day.
Support classes for the April 5 date will be announced in the coming weeks. Events at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park are presented by Griffith Truck and Equipment and Smiley’s Racing Products along with E.M. and Associates.
